Long established and recently having undergone a complete refurbishment , The Acarsaid Hotel in Pitlochry has relaunched and once again presents a welcome abode for visitors to Pitlochry.
Public rooms and selected bedrooms were upgraded in 2013, with the remaining bedrooms having been newly refurbished through January 2014, surpassing expectations for a stereotypical three star property and bringing the hotel’s interior fully up to date.
The vast public areas are both welcoming and expansive with a cosy lounge bar, complete with traditional furnishings and open fire and a contrasting lounge and conservatory, decorated in more contemporary styling, fitting with the adjacent Steakhouse restaurant.
A full upgrade and expansive menu and wine list has created a bright, relaxed and comfortable setting within the Steakhouse at Acarsaid, which produces traditional dishes with a local influence, alongside fabulous grills to great aplomb for residents and visiting diners alike. Care and attention and a practised eye for detail is demonstrated in the presentation of the food, which displays the produce used to great advantage.
Staff throughout the hotel present a very relaxed and accommodating demeanour; friendly and informative without being intrusive; and are a strong selling point of this Perthshire establishment.
A welcome return has been made by Acarsaid, back into the marketplace and I hope many travellers find their way here; to what is a fantastic location, surrounded by wonderful scenery, with superb transport links to the Highlands; to lay their heads for a night or two and enjoy the true Scottish hospitality on offer.
