One of the many beautiful joys of Edinburgh is the city’s accessibility and the very “towny” feel of Scotland’s capital.
No more is that felt than when in Castle Terrace, the very hub of the city and yet, with amazing views over Princes Street, The Gardens and the majestic Edinburgh Castle, a very contrasting blast of green versus city, captured equally from the windows of Castle View Apartment.
The Edinburgh Address’ portfolio of serviced and self-catered apartments throughout the city focuses on luxury and exceptional customer service within the thriving short-term rental market. Terribly trendy at the moment, Edinburgh is fortunate to have the architecture, desirable locations and demand for this relatively upmarket, yet affordable product, which is experiencing something of a popularity drift currently.
TEA Apartments present a choice of desirable abodes of varying sizes for short-term lets and weekend getaways to a diverse customer base of families, couples and groups of friends, all of which, seem particularly suited to this type of accommodation.
Our Castle Street flat offered a very welcoming entrance and recently refurbished interior, typical of the Georgian architecture, unique to this part of town, yet with very pleasant and fitting, contemporary twists. The large, bright hallway leads off to a very modern, dining kitchen, a large sitting room, with much sought after, views of the Castle and three bedrooms, each with their own, ultra-modern bathroom. The space is expansive and luxurious and at the same time homely; easy to settle in to and desirable as a location to revisit on return journeys to Edinburgh, especially considering the close proximity to shops, restaurants, bars and Edinburgh Castle.
Bespoke pieces of carefully considered furniture, perfectly suited artefacts and quirky mirrors, don’t dominate but compliment this design led property, where I felt privileged to be staying for yet another all too quick visit to my beautiful Edinburgh.
I often reflect on a tourist’s perception of Edinburgh’s stunning architecture, terraces of splendid buildings and imposing history; as I did here; where no one could fail to be impressed by the beauty and magnificence of such a building and its interior ingredients.
I am fortunate enough to experience the reality of “words failing me”; although highly unproductive and not at all conducive; on several occasions of late, and this is one of them. There are no words generous enough to encapsulate an experience of living history, art, luxury and the epitome of hospitality, other than to thank the owners for sharing with us their precious piece of Edinburgh.
