As it has grown in size, so has the loyal following of visitors to East Links Family Park in East Lothian. A relaxed, friendly visit, perfect for families, East Links is home to a growing brood of farm animals; sheep, cows, highland cattle, goats, deer, pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs; the list goes on; all live in apparent harmony within the park’s extensive grounds.
A quaint, open sided, on-site train offers regular trips around the periphery of the park, when specially purchased animal feed can be dispersed to the constantly interested variety of animals who obviously enjoy their easy life here!
East Links is not only fun but an informative and recreational park, offering informative lessons within the educational barn and on signage around the park.
Trampolines, ride on trucks of varying sizes, climbing walls and play park activities feature largely, covering play for all ages (adults are also welcome to try!), both in-door and out; however the highlight is likely to be the comparatively new Fortress. The most recent addition offers climbing, crawling, balancing, hanging and sliding over four levels of pure fun, where children can get lost in their imagination and enjoy interactive play.
Plentiful picnic areas, either undercover or within the extensive parkland ensure that families can spend an entire day with the back-up of an indoor cafe, selling all the usual snacks and meals plus exceptionally good ice-cream!
East Links offers all the ingredients for a perfect family day out in a safe, fun environment and is a wonderful addition to Scotland’s East Coast.
