An afternoon at the theatre seemed like the perfect time to visit The Brasserie at Harvey Nichols, aptly named, Forth Floor Restaurant in Edinburgh.
A short stroll from the Edinburgh Playhouse, makes the quintessential address an ideal choice for a leisurely lunch, served up with a wonderfully picturesque panorama of the city, including of course, the Firth of Forth.
The fourth level is well worth the prime positioning and each floor en route, presents departments which are truly difficult to by-pass.
A delightfully recognisable aroma precedes the fourth floor and a warm welcome from the restaurant staff, who, although busy, seat diners quickly and efficiently, accommodating any special requests with a reassuring level of decorum.
The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and extremely professional – our waiter and wine waiter were both proficient and attentive without being overbearing and able to tender advice and knowledge of the refreshingly different menu.
Expertly chosen dishes, local produce and seasonal specials merge to produce a simple yet appetising lunch menu; carefully prepared, expertly served and hugely enjoyed!
