A surprising revelation in the heart of the Highlands is Landmark Forest Adventure Park; a fun park in miniature set amidst, and taking full advantage of the natural terrain, beauty and wildlife of Carrbridge, Inverness-shire.
Landmark is a perfectly thought out medley of fun, learning and adventure, truly appealing to members of any generation and a fabulous day out.
Bamboozeleum provided a good starting point for our journey of discovery through the bizarre world of illusions and mystifying special effects; a fantastic indoor centre filled with simple but entertaining distortion mirrors, mind blowing puzzles, informative video microscopes and a host of fun activities.
Two restaurants where fresh, locally sourced and homemade produce feature largely, are a pleasant addition at Landmark, however there are also plentiful seating areas amidst the wildlife which inhabits the trees and grounds within which Landmark sits and offers a welcome break for a picnic lunch.
The Fire Tower, a terrifyingly high wooden structure, where access to the top is via a winding staircase, rewards only the very brave with fantastic views stretching for miles over the Cairngorms and beyond.
An Ancient Forest with a wild forest maze, presents a magical challenge; Pinnacle, Rope Worx and Sky Dive all offer an exciting challenge of quite a different type; tactical, breathtaking and rewarding!
The Wild Water Coaster and Runaway Timber Train are pure fun and exhilaration and shall not fail to cheer and animate the most somber of faces!
Easy to spend an entire day here; Landmark fulfils all the requirements of a fun and inexpensive day out; thankfully minus overly commercial offerings and pleasantly replaced by welcomingly local ones.
