Upon entering Oblo, you could be mistaken for thinking you are in an upmarket trendy city eatery, or even, from the outside, on a particularly sunny day, the Mediterranean sun terrace of a quayside street café, however, being of the opinion that, in Eyemouth on a pleasant day in June, I would have to make do (as nice as they are) with Fish and Chips for lunch, I was delighted to stumble upon this little gem.
Oblò is an award winning Style Bar and Bistro with an envious harbour-front location within the small coastal town of Eyemouth. A floor to ceiling ‘porthole’ from which to watch the world go by and, additionally, a sunny second floor conservatory and balcony for al fresco dining, offer a casual, yet indulgent atmosphere for enjoying a bistro style lunch, drinks with friends or an expertly prepared Italian coffee. A small, yet intimate restaurant for evening dining, offering seasonal, local produce completes the Oblo experience, whose appeal lasts from morning, well into the night.
