Pretty as a picture, sitting in the countryside with open views of the sea – best of both worlds? Redhall is the most recent restaurant opening in the small picturesque fishing town of Eyemouth on Scotland’s south-east coast.
Previously offering rooms with breakfast, the big step has been taken to full restaurant status with licensed bar, beer garden and a French chef rustling up a variety of daily changing items from mostly locally sourced produce.
Seafood features largely but not predominantly with equal measures of meat, game and vegetarian alternatives, all served in a conservatory type dining space taking full advantage of location.
The mood is relaxed and informal in a contemporary environment with surroundings conducive to enjoying the informed wine list.
Our party of eight, not necessarily easily pleased, diners departed in a jovial mood having all enjoyed a delicious, well thought out and fantastically presented supper – excellent.
